Today, I wanted to try something different and fun, so I decided to make some sale balloons for my online shop. I thought it would be a cool way to grab people’s attention.

Getting Started
First, I gathered all the materials. I needed:
- Balloons (of course!) in different colors
- A permanent marker
- String
- Helium tank (if you want them to float, which I did)
- Tape
I started by blowing up a few balloons just with air to practice writing on them. It’s a bit trickier than writing on paper, you know? The surface is all curvy and moves around.
I practiced writing things like “SALE,” “50% OFF,” and “BIG DISCOUNTS!” a few times to get the hang of it. My first few attempts were pretty wonky, but I got better with each try.
The Real Deal
Once I felt confident enough, I started working with the helium. I carefully filled each balloon, making sure not to overfill them (I’ve had a few pop on me before!).
Then, I tied the string to each balloon. This part was a little fiddly, but I managed it.

Next came the writing. I carefully wrote my sale messages on each balloon, taking my time to make it look as neat as possible. I used different colors for different messages to make it more eye-catching.
Finishing touches
After I finished all of it,I taped the balloons around.
It took a bit of time, but it was totally worth it! They look really festive and fun. I’m hoping they’ll help boost my sales a bit. It was a simple project, but a nice change of pace.
